MATH DOESN'T BELONG ON THE MENU
Our ancestors did not bring a calculator with them when determining how many berries they could eat off of a bush. They didn't use food scales to figure out how much bison they should consume per meal. They were not using math to figure out how much they should eat. They ate naturally. Food is now abundant and easily obtained, but you can still absolutely eat in a natural, intuitive way that requires zero calculations.
YOU DON'T NEED TO REPLACE MEALS
Meals should be fresh, natural food, not a dried up powder or bar. Processed meal replacement is hard on the body. Your body was built to extract nutrition from nature, not from a package. And "convenience" isn't an issue when we have things like bananas, almond butter, beef jerky, almonds, avocados and other quick foods - that come from nature and require zero refrigeration nor prep.
YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO LIVE WITH CRAVINGS
Cravings are NOT normal. There is a difference between thinking something sounds good, and that overwhelming, all-consuming, obsessive NEED to eat something. And have you ever noticed, that those cravings are usually for junk? How often did you have a deep, haunting desire to eat a raw carrot. You have to eliminate cravings - not learn how to live with them. Very few people have the willpower and discipline to "live with" cravings and still eat healthy.
But.... I hate meal prepping 😩
I get it. No one wants to spend hours in the kitchen prepping food. I would hate doing that too, it requires willpower and discipline, and I'm assuming you don't have much of either, or you wouldn't be on this page right now.
