MARKETING HACKS 101

Catch people's eye with the negative

Do you use negatives in your marketing? Fear is a much stronger emotion than happiness. People will avoid fear faster than they will move to being happy. So if you want to add some power to your headlines, taglines, subtitles (and more) then flip it around and showcase the negatives.

Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, sister.

Flip the positive aspect of your thing, to the negative and watch people pay attention.

Examples:

  • Avoid doing ________ in ___________
  • 3 Mistakes you are making with _____________
  • Don't ______________
  • Never do this _____________
  • Stop ______________

Catch people's eye by giving them an action to take

Giving people specific actions to take shows them how simple it is to get what they want. The key- keep it simple! Don’t go overboard explaining every details, just quick bite-sized actions.

Figure out what the thing/things they need to do are, and share it.

Examples:

  • Copy my ____________
  • Try this hack for _____________
  • 3 Steps to ____________
  • 5 Ways to get _______________
  • Do this instead ____________
  • Check out ______________

Keep 'em curious

Do you use curiosity in your marketing? Use a little curiosity in your marketing to get people's attention and keep them around to learn more! Adding a big dose of curiosity to your marketing can do wonders. Think of how you can position your thing to add some excitement and have them sticking around to find out.

Examples:

  • Did you know ____________?
  • No one is talking about _____________
  • New! ______________
  • 3 Crazy facts about ____________
  • Hidden ___________ that you didn't know about
