Nah bro. ✋

We are MEANT to feel allll the things... even the things that we have labeled as "bad."

😡Anger
😖Frustration
😥Sadness
😞Loneliness
😑Confusion
😟Defeat
🥴Hurt
😳Fear

So this idea of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." and "be happy" and "choose happiness" is bullshit 🖕 and completely bypasses our human-ness and shames those who choose to experience a variety of emotion.

I'm not saying that you need to go cry and be mad in front of the world. But if you start feeling less than happy, don't shame yourself for it, or try to make it go away, or try to distract yourself from it, or cover it up.

If you feel you want to cry - then CRY. It doesn't make you a baby. ❤️

If you are feeling angry- then dive in! Feel it! It doesn't make you a mean person. ❤️

If you are feeling fear - sit with it for a minute. It doesn't make you incapable. ❤️

Emotions are a message from our body ✉️

If we shove them down, ignore them or try to cover it up with constant forced positivity, then how can our body communicate with us? How will we gain wisdom, grow and learn?

We wouldn't have emotions if they were bad.

Just like...
We wouldn't have an appetite if food was bad.
We wouldn't have a sex drive if sex was bad.
We are given emotions, an appetite and a sex drive because we are meant to experience them.

Learn to ride WITH them, listen to what they are telling you.

Emotions are a MESSAGE.

Listen to them.

You can handle it.
